WHAT ARE TREETOP ACTIVITIES? HERE'S SOME HISTORY
The top of trees have always been the place chosen by researchers to study the fauna and flora of the great forests. Until the mid-1980's they used to climb and descend countless times, until they remembered to create a simpler way to go from one tree to another, using ropes and woods.
Years later, France and New Zealand adopted the idea of suspended bridges between trees and turned Arborism into a sporting activity.
Since then, it has created roots in many places and is undoubtedly a striking activity for all ages.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
This activity main goal is progress along a circuit of suspended bridges at treetop level, consiting of wood and steel cables, all of them with different difficulty levels.
We have some unique bridges with difficulty levels adapted to small and big adventurers. All you need is focus, balance and some courage!

Besides fun and contact with nature, this activity promotes among self-confidence, movement coordination, concentration and balance, all fundamental, aspects to overcome obstacles and even fears that may exist.
OUR COURSES
Integrated in the middle of Parque Palmela's, we have two treetop activity courses interconnected by platforms.
BLUE course
Adults and children from 5 years old (minimum 1.10m height)
Medium/low difficulty | Approximate duration: 30min.
RRP €9
RED course
Adults and children from 10 years old (minimum 1.30m height)
Medium/high difficulty | Approximate duration: 1 hour

SAFETY
The activity begins with a briefing about the safety instructions, followed by a practice exercise.
Safety is ensured through the careful supervision of monitors and the use of appropriate and certified safety equipment (harness, carabiners and roller).
The Arborismo courses were built in accordance with the European standards in force.
The activity is covered by the necessary insurance according to the licensing process based on Dec.Law nº 108/2009.
Under adverse weather conditions (rain and very strong wind and/or thunderstorms) the activity will be cancelled.
In case of rain, the activity will take place, whenever it's operation is guarenteed with maximum security.
